Why write? It's a question as interesting as "why climb?". I write to report. I write to remember. I write to purge. I write to learn more about myself. I write for fun.

Anyhow, here are trip reports from some of the climbing adventures I've had, in reverse chronological order (newest first).

  • Punter's Sweet chronicles my very first alpine experience.
  • Running Ragged was written to appease John Peterson, who claims that there aren't enough trip reports about Ragged Mountain, NH.
  • Vegas 2002 is a repository of several people's adventures. Check out stories from Cara Ferrier, John Peterson, Storm Heter, and myself.
  • Snow Red shows that there's no such thing as an "off-season".
  • Gunksfest 2001 describes yet another interesting John Peterson encounter.
  • The Dying of the Light tells the tale of a mini-epic I had with Cara Ferrier in North Carolina.
  • Drinking From the Fire Hydrant, written by Scary Larry and myself, tells the story of my first Grade IV, out in Red Rocks.
  • Realization is a reflection upon the reasons why I climb
  • go go go is my attempt at stream of consciousness / visual effect type writing. I wrote it after climbing a big scary chimney in Arkansas.
  • Revisited Assumptions refers to a weekend of sport climbing in New Mexico that convinced me to lose my traditude.
  • Spring Break 2001 describes, amazingly enough, what I did one spring break.
  • Gunksfest 2000 (mini) notes my first John Peterson Climbing Experience (tm).
  • Trial by Wildfire is based on my first trad lead.
