System News

June 15, 2014 - We have received a list of usernames that may have been compromised during the "Adobe Breach", mentioned at http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/11/12/adobe-breach-inadvertently-tied-to-other-accounts/ . All affected accounts have been disabled, and we might want some proof of identity before access can be restored. Ask admin if you are locked out, but do NOT send any sensitive information in plain-text email ! (If you have PGP/GnuPG available, feel free to use the key at http://www.nyx.net/~cmaarbj/pgpkey.asc )

If you have an account at Adobe, you are strongly encouraged to change the password there --and anywhere else you have used the same password!
Note that the leaked credentials need cracking of the password, but any hints you may have entered, will be unencrypted.

Oct. 21, 2013 - Free Web Hosting! Nyx can now host free web sites for small businesses who need a hand, literary projects, and non-profit organizations. Read how to sign up.

Oct. 15, 2013 - Dialup Working! For those still using dialup, we again have a modem! The phone number has changed to 303-781-0577. The usage has been very low so there's only one modem (please don't tie it up, thanks).

May 17, 2013 - After the move, the old sun workstation that was Nyx's login system crashed with a fatal hardware problem. We've replaced it with a modern, faster Linux server. Not all software is yet functional. Here's what we know of that needs work:

Please report any problems to admin@nyx.net. You can also contact us through Facebook if you don't have access to email: https://www.facebook.com/NyxNet (although email to admin is likely faster).

May 1, 2013 - System has had to move, need funds, help!
