Dental Practice Information System

Product overview

It is designed to automate methodology of work and business activities of a dentist and a dental practice. Depending on position in overall health system it could be used as:

• Tool for planning and follow-up activities on primary and childrens dental health care (DMF an other .statistics are supported)
• Tool for follow-up defined dental health care politics and results of its applying
• Tool for follow-up expenses for dental supplies materials, machines, etc.

Dental Practice Information System contains two main and three auxiliary modules. The main modules are:

• Patients, and
• Dental Office

• Colleagues - Colleagues outside this dental office
• Colleagues from this office - Colleagues from this dental office
• My Info data belonging to currently active user

Patients

Module patients consist of following sub modules:

• Records - Patients records
• Booking - Appointment scheduling
• D Day - Target day for services which are time depending
• Case studies - List of case studies in order to motivate patient
• Advices - Categorized advices sorted by dental branches

Patients record consists of:

• General data
• OHC - overall health condition
• Status - Status record including periodontal chart
• DMF and DIT are automated from status.
• Services - Record on patient related services
• All Images - All Images belonging to the patient
• Appointments - Appointment book
• Scheduled Appointments for one Patient

There are also Payments, Advances, Bills, Technics (orders to denture technician), and Treatment Plans.

D Day is a Target day for services which are time depending. Typical services for D Day are toxavit, string removal after oral surgery or six moths dental check up.

Case studies contains a list of case studies in order to motivate the patient

Advices consists of categorized advices sorted by dental branches

Dental Office

Module Dental Office is used for back office activities such as Prices, Exchange rate, Services, Materials, Reports, Statistics, Suppliers, Technicians, Procedures, Documents, and Inventory

Services - Each service is defined with code, description, specification of materials and quantity, price per minute, graphical presentation and service list price

Material is defined with the following data: code, description, unit of measurement, unit price, quantity of material in stock, and reordering point.

Reports

Journal of activities is generated automatically after each service has been rendered or paid for. It contains the following columns: date of service, patient's name, and tooth worked on if the service is tooth-oriented, service code, service description, price and date of payment

Book of costs has the following columns: Date of cost, Type of cost, Description of cost, amount of cost Daily, Monthly, Annual. Each report contains: number of services rendered, value of services rendered gross, value of services rendered net, value of services paid for that date, value of unpaid services for that date, status of advance payment, costs for that date, value of material stocks, list of materials below reordering point, list of debtors with individual and total debt, patients' birthdays in the coming n days.

Statistics

Different kind of statistical reports by value, by number of services, by patients age, by visits.

Suppliers - List of suppliers and their deliveries

Technicians - List of denture technicians and their works and deliveries

Procedures - List of internal procedures for certain activity

Documents - List of internal documents such as usage instructions,

Inventory - Inventory control for dental office.

Dental Practice Information System software platform

• Microsoft .NET technology
• Microsoft MS SQL Server as data base server.

The system is fully dynamically bi-lingual; i.e., user can switch from English to Spanish dynamically.
