IS GOPHER DEAD?

 Gopher is old and is starting to feel his age. His 
 family is unable to take care of him because they are 
 off raising and taking care of families of their own. 
 But Gopher deserves better and his family realizes this, 
 so they put Gopher into a retirement home.

 He is still alive and kicking. He is accepting visitors 
 and we encourage you to visit. He has gone through a lot 
 in his time, forged new boundaries and as a result has a 
 hell of a story to tell. Despite his age he is in fairly 
 good shape. There is still a lot to learn from him but 
 please, we ask you don't tire him too much because, 
 well, some signs of senility are starting to show.

 While it is true, younger kids like Hyper-G and the 
 WorldWideWeb have taken over many of the positions once 
 held by Gopher, Gopher still has some records
 the younger generations won't ever be able to break.

 Some people argue that if Gopher had a better agent, 
 better manager, and a better press-secratary that he 
 would have been better off. Others say that Gopher was 
 born two or three years too soon and lived in a world 
 that wasn't ready to receive his message. Who's to say 
 what could have been, all we know is what was.

 Gopher as no regrets, he'll be the first to tell you 
 this, Don't feel sorry for Gopher, he doesn't need, or 
 deserve, any of that.

 Everything man creates will one day be destroyed. You 
 are in for a lifetime of disappointments if you don't 
 believe this.
