Malcolm was born Malcolm Jacob Gosarki in 1839 in up state New York to Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Gosarki, the first of hopefully many children for the Danish immigrants. Alexander had started his own business when he arrived in the state, a small bakery that flourished and prospered, and had generated a small fortune for the family. In 1841 that dream was shattered when the two parents were struck down during an outbreak of the influenza ravaged the countryside. The sickness wasted no time in cutting them down to size.
Malcolm was left an orphan and alone. The family fortune had provided him with a comfortable cushion to live comfortably for quite some time. The young Malcolm withdrew into himself and devoted himself to the promise of finding a cure, a way to bring back his parents. To find an answer became his sole and driving goal. This was his mission.

In a fit frustration, blaming God, and man alike, for the loss of his parents. If there was nothing that they could do then it would be up to himself to find the answer. His direction turned to the occult and the arcane arts to find his answer.
Studies took him from the ancient science of the kabalah to the mystical writings of the Sons of Isis. Garnering information and separating the fact from fiction, what worked from what didn't.
Then it happened. The year was 1867 when he was inducted into clan Tremere...
