You can not hurt my server... all these retards do by trying out these asshole little multihacks they download is crash the server, end the game in progress, and ruin the game they were currently playing for themselves and everybody else. The server is then automatically restarted by another program, and everybody has to reconnect to a now empty freshly rebooted server. I personally could care less, I'm off doing something else, sleeping, eating dinner, whatever. This drama is all reset automatically. All you are doing is fucking up the game for yourself, the player, by trying out these stupid crap programs that aren't written very well just so you can try out some cheating. The server don't care, its just a stupid program that restarts any time it crashes, in about 15 seconds, and goes right on doing what it was doing with a fresh new game.

My advice to anyone who thinks cheating is a good way to win: you are only crippling and hurting yourself. You'll never increase your real gaming skillz by cheating. These programs will not help you lead your target. They will not help you plan the strategy in your head. Cheating is not going to help you much against master players who will dance around you irregardless of your hack. If you want to be the best, practice, practice... watch what tactics other people use on you that works, adopt them as your own, and practice some more. Slide out of the way when people fire at you. Anticipate what your enemy will do next, because its what you would do, or where you would go. Select a weapon that has an advantage over the weapon he is currently using. Et cetera...

These BF2 / BF2142 Multihacks are also payloaded with tons of viruses. Think about it. If you wanted to spread a virus, what's the best way to do it? One, you could put it on piratebay in a program everyone wants, like the latest version of Photoshop. That is a common practice - if you're smart, you know most software on piratebay is loaded with viruses, so you are going to avoid it ever downloading it and double clicking on it. So what other way is there to get your virus programs out there?

Two, you could put it in a program you make to look 'legit' that a bunch of stupid kids will download. Like a cheat program for a game. The people that write these multihacks target it at less than admirable cheaters that want it badly, but aren't smart enough to realize, that some who is offering you a way to cheat, isn't going to think twice about also payloading it with a bunch of crap viruses he modified or wrote to steal data from your machine, use it as hub to spam email from off of your email connection, or screw your computer up just for laughs.

As a server admin, I keep close tabs on all the programs out there that people use to cheat with or mess with servers. I know just about all of them, and I also know by running them through multiple virus programs, they are payloaded with a lot of crap. If I want to see what they do, I don't run them... I watch a video of someone using them on Youtube... or if I have to, I run them on a test machine that I'll reformat the harddrive afterwards and kill any viruses these multihacks installed.

Do yourself and the gaming community a favor and don't be stupid to try these programs on running servers with people playing a live game in them. If you honestly are dying to see them work, start your own server and test them in there... but honestly, you do so at your own risk of loading your computer with a bunch of virus crap and you're wasting your time in the long run.

In another Choppergirl first, I've implemented a new rating system of my own, the Bogo-Violence Rating or 'BV', which is displayed at the end of the game. The Bogo-Violence Rating is in the general spirit of the BogoMips which is used in Linux land to benchmark CPU performance. A Bogo-Violence Rating for the game is displayed at the end of the game, and on the scoreboard, so that people can get a general idea how violent the last game was. Think of it as if it were a 'game thermometer'.

Note that this rating of the amount of violence in a game is rather arbitrary and non-scientific and in fact, rather bogus (hence the name), and may not at all reflect the amount of violence that was actually in the game. However, hopefully it will be more often than not at least somewhere near to a general estimation, and give you some general indication of how violent a game was.

HOW TO SWEEP THE SCOREBOARD

To get any sweep, you MUST get the high scores in ALL 3 LAST GAME HIGH SCORES:

last game top pilot, last game top score, AND last game top kills. Without all 3 of theses, its not a sweep at all.

That alone, is called a 3x SWEEP (Three of a Kind). And its pretty good. But you can get even higher...

If you have all 3 last game high scores, AND have 1 top dog high score (even from a previous game), that's a 4x SWEEP!
(Four of a Kind)

If you have all 3 last game high scores, AND have 2 top dog high scores (even from a previous game), that's a 5x SWEEP!!
(Full House)

If you have all 3 last game high scores, AND have 3 top dog high scores (even from a previous game), that's a 6x SWEEP!!!
(Straight Flush) If you get a Straight Flush, and the server hasn't just rebooted, you're pretty bad ass...

If you get ANY sweep... 3x, 4x, 5x, or 6x... you capture the 7th line of the Scoreboard with your name on it. So a Straight Flush 6x SWEEP gets your name on all 7 lines of the Scoreboard! And you have swept the scoreboard! Quit, walk away, and gloat!

So you can talk all the idiot smack talk all you want, but when it comes to battle, are you the ultimate cleaning lady like CHOPPERGIRL, are you a 6x Sweeper?

IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO KNOW

I have set up some dedicated knife fight areas on both my servers, consult the maps below for their locations:

On BF2142, the knife only area is inside the circle of the core flag/silo capture area in the center of the map



In BF2, the knife only area is inside the tiled area of the pool beneath the crane in the center of the map

If someone is inside these areas, you are only allowed to kill them with a knife. If you kill them with any weapon other than a knife, 20 points will be substracted from your score. This might put you below -12 and get you kicked off the server depending on your score, so beware. Only kill other players using a knife in these areas. Do not shoot rockets or drop bombs or artillery strikes into these areas, you may kill someone and get punished.

WHAT COUNTRY IS ...?

One of the pioneering mods I made was to add a country code to everyone's nickname, so players could see what country other players were connecting from and guess what language they spoke. This facilitates same language players finding and communicating with each other. This is done automatically on my server.

My country codes caught on so well that people started recreating their nickname with their country code attached, so their country code would be seen on other servers as well (I don't recommend this).
