I'm a computing & data technologist and software engineer currently working for Wolfram|Alpha, the Computational Knowledge Engine. I have a Ph.D. in physics and did graduate research in theoretical particle physics. My acadmic interests include more topics in technical and scientific computing, data science (a fashionable but perhaps somewhat loosely defined domain), knowledge representation and reasoning, computerized knowledge management, knowledge-bases, question answering systems, natural language processing, data mining, applied mathematics, and statistics. My non-academic interests include hiking, cycling, photography, graphical art, etc.
