Pascal's Great Wager

This bit of logic was once offered by Blaise Pascal, a great mathemetician and physicist...

Either God "is" (does exist) or He "isn't" (does not exist)... each of us wagers his life on one or the other.

If you bet that God Is, and you are right, you win everything; if you bet that God Is and you are wrong, you lose nothing. A win-win situation.

If you bet that God Is Not, and you are right, you win nothing; if you are wrong, you lose everything. A lose-lose situation.

Why not go for the win?
