BECOMING A PHOENIX

My heart is a fire that burns with love for others
Many times someone had made the flame in me smolder

When I was hurt so bad I thought I'd never recover
Nothing hurts more then to have your heart ripped out by a lover

One night when I was still hurt and healing
An angle came and talked with me

He had been hurt by a loved one as well
He to had been dragged through hell

We helped each other to become stronger then before
Trevor and I are Phoenix's and together we soar

High into the night
Far beyond humane sight
