Introduction

Who I Am and What I Do

Welcome! My name is Jeff Traigle. It is my pleasure to introduce you to my professional experience and credentials through this website.

I am an information technology professional who has almost 30 years of experience. In those years, I have worked with various OS and hardware platforms in several industries and geographic locations.

The emphasis for much of my earlycareer was HP-UX systems. For more than ten years, I have been given the opportunity to expand my experience to include Cisco and Brocade storage area network (SAN) switches, HP and EMC storage arrays, Linux (SLES and RHEL) systems, and virtualization with VMware ESXi and vCenter Server Appliance and Red Hat Virtualization (KVM on RHEL).

Whether I have been the sole IT person on staff or the member of a team, my employers have always valued my ability to troubleshoot difficult problems and to design and implement solutions that are rock solid. By supervisors and peers, I have often been recognized as the "go to" guy to get things done or to help with ideas on how to implement solutions that are easy to maintain while satisfying the requirements, sometimes questioning the reason for requests if they seem unnecessary, insecure, or inefficient.

Most of the positions I have held required working with members of other teams within organizations. Security has been an important focus throughout my career and working with security, networking, database, operations, and application teams is a regular occurrence. Excellent verbal and written communication skills have been a necessity to educate, design, review, implement, and document projects.
