House Pictures Page

Of course, this is the most important room in the house. :) It was the first room on the renovations list when I moved in. I don't have any "before" pictures, but you can see some of the hideous pink carpet and paint in the hall in one of them. Pink was the theme throughout the house and I erradicated it everywhere I saw it. Another common theme, where pink paint wasn't applied, was wallpaper. This room had wallpaper. The only original items that were decent were the vertical blinds throughout the house and the mirrored sliding closet doors in this room and the master bedroom.

The new floor is natural oak... real wood. It's floating, which means the pieces interlock and are glued together. No glue or nails are used to affix the floor to the subfloor. Even though I'd never done any handyman work previously, I was able to install the floor easily myself.
