Project Management

·         Project manager for launch of electronic publication targeted at 17,000 alumni, donors, and friends of The Anderson Schools of Management at The University of New Mexico.  Project team of one, partnering heavily with Dean’s Office, Alumni Relations, Development Office, and IT staff to make this project succeed—redesign provided catalyst for ongoing continuous improvement in alumni relations.

·         Produced a multi-year project plan for a $30 million fundraising project, successfully presented to UNM School of Engineering faculty and staff, achieving buy-in from hostile key stakeholders.

·         Assistant project manager for the North Valley Arts Council during $2.3 million fundraising campaign, recovery from natural disaster, and new facility startup.  Managed a team of 8 – 10 volunteers through multiple projects and events to produce a “jewel” of the post-disaster community.

·         Project manager for college classes in English composition and literature from concept to close.  Managed multiple classes of 10 – 30 people through rapid-cycle 8-week project terms.  Worked closely with students to continually assess success and obstacles and achieve buy-in—marked improvement in overall student writing ability, motivation, and enthusiasm for subject material.

Marketing

·         Developed an alumni web marketing strategy for The Anderson Schools of Management to improve brand image.  Worked within established university marketing strategy, tweaked to showcase business school strengths—improved both numbers and quality of alumni contacts.

·         10 years of experience writing of technical proposals, press releases, newsletters, and other promotional materials, both working within a corporate marketing framework and working independently.  As a grant writer, raised $750,000 in grant funds during a one-year period.

·         Developed and implemented a marketing plan for a software entertainment package at Winged Yak Productions.  Successfully placed the package in nationwide distribution through a retail distributor.  Negotiated a 400% payment increase over standard offer for the programmer.
