Welcome to my home page, such as it is. The older photos were taken with
my first digital camera, a Nikon Coolpix 950. In 2010 I bought a Canon
PowerShot SX120 IS and have used that since. Although limited by this
type of "point and shoot" equipment (as opposed to a DSLR, telephoto lens,
tripod, etc.) I have been able to get some good photos, especially of my
favorite subject, butterflies. Most of my time between April and October
is spent hiking in Shenandoah National Park, near my home, and most of the
local nature photos are taken on these hikes. In Jan/Feb of 2010 and 2011,
I visited my parents in Lee County, Florida, south of Fort Myers, and
spent much time searching the local natural areas for butterflies, flowers and
birds.
