Lloyd E. Harding SOTTSBLUFF -- Lloyd E. Harding, 91, of SCottsbluff died May 7, 1998, at the Mitchell Care Center. Funeral services are Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Scottsbluff First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Cal Leeds officating. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Mitchell Care Center. Jolliffe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Lloyd was born to Warren G. and Ethel (Wills) Harding on December 13, 1906, at Hebron. As a young boy, he moved with his family to Alma, where he grew up and attended school. As a young man he enjoyed sports and excelled at baseball and basketball. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, hard worker and enjoyed life. He met Naomi Seyler in Alma, where she taught school and they were married at the Methodist Church Parsonage in Hastings April 22, 1933. During the Depression Lloyd owned a truck and he bought and sold produce and farm supplies. During World War II he worked for the railroad for five years and in 1947, he moved his family to Scottsbluff hwere he owned and operated a trucking business until his retirement in 1968. Naomi, his wife of 57 years, passed away May 26, 1990. In 1996, he met and married Annabelle Miller and they lived in Padroni, Colo. until shortly before hist death. He was loved by his family and friends and will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife; sons Doyle L. of Delta, Colo., and Dale W. of Camdenton, Mo.; daughter LaVelle S. Jones of Mitchell; sisters Lola Luth of Scottsbluff and Delma Fadley of Carson, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife; grandson Mitchel; and brother Ron.
