Mrs. Brown had been ill only a few days, having contracted scarlet fever from her young sons, all of whom she had cared for faithfully during their illness. Mrs. Brown passed away at her farm home, six miles east of Northport, where the family had lived for the past several years. She had observed her twenty-sixth birthday just one month previous to her death. She was born November 14, 1914, at Bridgeport, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Cook. Most of her life was spent in the comuminty and she attented local school. She was married to Kenneth Brown, May 6, 1936, at Ogallala. Surviving are her husband, Kenneth, and three sons, Wayne, Darryl and Leonard; her mother Mrs. Con Fuhrer and father, Joe Cook, both of Bridgeport. Private funeral services were held at Forest Lawn cemetery west of Bridgeport, Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock with Rev. Howard Osborne in charge.
