Bravo!   How 'bout DS9 and Happy Days?

(1)  DS9 takes place in the middle of nowhere (hence the name Deep Space 
9). Happy days also takes place in the middle of nowhere (suburban 
Milwaukee, WI).

(2) The characters of Happy Days frequently hang out at Al's place.  The 
characters of DS9 frequently hang out at Quark's place.

(3) In Happy Days, Mr. Cunningham runs a hardware store.  In DS9, Chief 
O'Brien is in charge of the station's stores of hardware.

(4) In Happy Days, Fonzie lives alone in a remote part of the Cunningham 
estate. In DS9, Worf lives alone in a remote part of the Defiant.

(5) In Happy Days, Ritchie, Ralph at Potsie got fake ID's.  In DS9, 
Sisko, O'Brien and Odo got fake identities as Klingons.

(6) In Happy Days, cast members would sometimes appear on "Laverne and 
Shirley" and "Joannie loves Chatchi".  In DS9, cast members would 
sometimes appear on TNG and Voyager.

(7) In Happy Days, Mr. Cunningham was an important member of a fraternal 
order. In DS9, Sisko is an important member of the Bajoran religion.

(8) In Happy Days, conflict often came from  toughs from another high 
shool.  In DS9, conflict often comes from toughs from another part of 
the galaxy.

(9)  In Happy Days, Ritchie made first contact with an alien (Mork from 
Ork). In DS9, Sisko made  first contact with aliens (the Prophets, the 
Jem 'Hadar, etc).

(10) In Happy Days, the Fonz could attract beautiful co-eds with a snap 
of his fingers.  In DS9, Quark can attract beautiful dabo girls with a 
snap of his fingers.
