Xgmod Information
Latest version is 3.1, released 97SEP01. AWE support is here!
As you can see, Xgmod has not been updated for a few years. Version 3.1
will most likely be the last version released.
Xgmod is a module player with an X interface for Linux. It requires a
GUS card or an AWE card and version 3.0 or later of the OSS/Free (USS/Lite,
VoxWare, TASD) driver. A non-X version is also included in the distribution.

The following module formats are currently supported:

The following items are required to use gmod and Xgmod:
- OSS/Free (USS/Lite, VoxWare, TASD) driver version 3.0 or
greater. This driver is included with the Linux kernel. Please
use 'cat /dev/sndstat' to check the driver version! The driver
must be configured with sequencer and MIDI interface support. The
Ultrasound project's driver does not work properly with xgmod and gmod.
- A GUS card or an AWE card
The following items are required to compile the source with X support:
- libqt 1.1. For more information on libqt, see the
QT page.
- XFree 3.1 or greater. XFree 2.1 may also work, but has not been tested.
The following items are required to use the precompiled xgmod binary:
- XFree 3.1 or greater
- libc 5.4.7 or greater
- libg++ 27.2.1 or greater
The following items are required to use the precompiled gmod binary:
- libc 5.4.7 or greater
- libg++ 27.2.1 or greater
- ncurses terminfo database
- ncurses 4.0 shared library

MultiTracker and UltraTracker support was added by Robert Sanders.
